TET is serviced by a secretariat unit in the Danish Data Protection Agency, which, in the exercise of its duties, is solely subject to TET’s instructions.
The secretariat unit is organizationally and administratively anchored in the Danish Data Protection Agency, which performs certain administrative functions, while the secretariat unit in professional and oversight matters reports directly to TET.
TET has the authority to decide who is employed in the secretariat unit, as well as the educational background and other qualifications required for the oversight body’s staff.
